When KY Custom Cycles in Telkwa BC wanted to extend their existing shop to include a bay for their motor home, they reached out to Jim Busch at Global Steel Buildings Canada. Owner, Ken Yorkston knew exactly what he wanted to extend his existing shop. Global Steel Buildings Canada was able to offer a solution which would add-on to his existing structure with a 25 x 16 foot extension. The door on the steel RV garage is 14 feet wide by 16 feet tall. Thermal spray insulation was used on the ceilings and walls ensuring the garage is energy efficient. The building was finished with cedar siding to match the original structure.
Ken was able to erect the structure with a helper in merely four weeks working off and on. The finished add-on has matching roof trim so it is a seamless addition to an existing structure. Ken plans on investigating solar and wind power for the shop to further realize energy savings.
