Canadian Supplied Commercial Steel Building

Global Steel Buildings Canada

Welcome to Hancock’s Timber Mart. Hancock’s is located in Forteau Labrador, the town whose name is derived from the French meaning ‘fort’ referring to the strong winds that come across the bay of this southern Labrador town. When looking for a Canadian steel building company Hancock’s partnered with Global Steel Buildings to design and erect a pre-engineered commercial steel building.

Hancock’s Timber Mart recently procured a pre-engineered steel building measuring 80 ft by 200 ft by 18 ft to meet their storage requirements. To accommodate their operations and equipment four doors were installed measuring 18 x 14, 14 x 14 and two 3 x 7. The pre-engineered steel building is the largest building in the town of Forteau.

Designed to withstand the harshest winters in Canada

Winter is the longest season in Southern Labrador, with abundant snowfall and strong winds. Global Steel Buildings designed this metal structure to withstand the high winds coming across the Atlantic Ocean. The pre-engineered building will withstand very high levels of snowfall, up to 100 lbs per square foot.

Excellent warranty and return on investment

Global Steel Buildings delivered the building including roof insulation and all doors for under $15 a square foot.  Global Steel Buildings excellent Canadian customer service team ensured that this project came with a warranty that is second to none in the industry.

This project was delivered to Labrador from Global Steel Buildings a Canadian company that designs, engineers and manufactures 100 % canadian steel buildings.

To create an appealing and inviting exterior, the building was finished in an antique linen colour with vibrant red trim.  The large doors accommodate building supplies, vehicles and equipment keeping inventory protected from the weather and other elements.
